Product Applications

Castor oil ethoxylates is pesticide emulsifier, oil field crude oil dehydration, textile industry used as chemical fiber oil agent, Vinylon antistatic spinning oil, wool industry used as wool oil. It can also be used for emulsification of grease wax, oleate and mineral oil.

Production method

Add 1 mol castor oil to the reactor, and then add 0.3% solid potassium hydroxide equivalent to the mass of castor oil. Stir, heat up, and dissolve in KOH. Then replace the air in the kettle with N2. And ethylene oxide is introduced, the reaction temperature is maintained at 160 ~ 180℃, and the pressure is 0.15~0.2 MPa. After completion, continue stirring until the pressure does not drop. Cool. Move the material into the bleaching kettle, adjust the pH to slightly acidic with acetic acid, add 0.1% hydrogen peroxide to decolorize, and keep the temperature at 70℃ for 0.5 h. Finally, dehydrate under reduced pressure for 5 hours. Cool the discharge.
