Nature Description

Colorless transparent liquid. Boiling range 148-156 ℃(8PA), relative density 0.942(25/4 ℃), refractive index 1.4791. Soluble in general organic solvents.

Product Applications

This product can be used as auxiliary antioxidant, has good anti-discoloration effect, and can increase oxidation resistance and light stability. It has the function of chelating agent in polyvinyl chloride. Low toxicity, can be used for plastic medical equipment products.

Production method

Add 2-Ethylhexanol to enamel reaction still, heat it under stirring, put sodium metal into it, gradually heat it to 100℃, and remove hydrogen during sodium dissolution. After dissolving sodium, cool the material temperature to about 45℃, and add triphenyl phosphite under stirring for transesterification reaction. After the reaction is completed, the reactant is pumped into a stainless steel distillation kettle, and the phenol produced by transesterification is distilled off at 160℃ and 21.33kPa to obtain crude ester. Add crude ester to the washing tank and cool it to about 20℃, wash it with 15% sodium hydroxide solution, let it stand, put the mother liquor away, and rinse the oil layer with clear water to neutral or alkalescence. Finally, vacuum distillation is carried out and 180 ~ 200℃(400.0~666.5Pa) fraction is collected to obtain the finished product.
