Pure diphenylmethane diisocyanate is usually supplied in a molten state (few tablets are sold). Pure diphenylmethane diisocyanate is mainly used for reaction injection molding (RIM) combination, thermoplastic elastomer (JPU) cast elastomer and Spandox elastic fiber. Diphenylmethane diisocyanate is modified and widely used as strong paint, adhesive, sealant, etc.
Diphenylmethane diisocyanate is the main raw material for manufacturing polyurethane elastomer. Polyurethane products made of diphenylmethane diisocyanate have shown good chemical stability such as high tear resistance, low temperature flexibility resistance, low thermal conductivity, etc, it is widely used in the production of polyurethane synthetic leather, artificial leather coating, polyurethane soft foam, hard foam, etc., especially for building materials.
More than 90% of diphenylmethane diisocyanate is used for polyurethane materials, and its application fields are constantly expanding, such as RIM elastomer, thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer, polyurethane sealing paint, diphenylmethane diisocyanate polyurethane pouring glue, polyurethane tape, acrylic polyurethane elastomer and synthetic leather, etc, new products are being developed one after another.
Using free amine to react with phosgene to produce diphenylmethane diisocyanate is a fully mature technical route in the world. The reaction is to make aniline and formolite reaction, then use alkali neutralization and distillation to obtain diphenyl methane diamine (MDA), dissolve diphenyl methane diamine with chlorobenzene or dichlorobenzene, in the presence of excess 50%~ 200% phosgene, the isocyanate was prepared by light gasification reaction, purified by vacuum distillation, and the solvent was removed to obtain diphenylmethane diisocyanate.
The reaction between free amine and phosgene is the most important method for diphenylmethane diisocyanate. Before the reaction, dissolve amine in affection solvent and continuously add excess phosgene of the same solvent at low temperature, carbamoyl chloride and amine hydrochloride are formed, then heated to high temperature, and excess phosgene is introduced until clear solution is obtained.
Used to synthesize polyurethane adhesive and sealant. Store in a cool and ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat source. For long-term storage, the storage temperature should not exceed 20℃. Strictly waterproof, moisture-proof, avoid direct sunlight.
