Propane and butane are common alkane compounds, which are widely used in industry and daily life. Although they have similar molecular structures, there are some differences in their combustion characteristics.
From the molecular structure, the propane (C3H8) molecule consists of three carbon atoms and eight hydrogen atoms, while the butane (C4H10) molecule consists of four carbon atoms and ten hydrogen atoms. For the combustion process, the difference between propane and butane is mainly reflected in the fuel effect and combustion temperature. As a relatively simple alkane, propane burns relatively completely and can provide a high combustion effect.
